There was a single gas station in cities across Transylvania County selling midgrade gas at the price of $3.34 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 3, according to GasBuddy.com.

Of the 10 gas stations in cities within Transylvania County, just one offers midgrade gas.

The average price of midgrade gas in North Carolina was $3.43, compared to $3.34 the week before.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 3.5% more for average goods and food they needed.
