The City of Brevard announced on May 11 that there will be changes to the solid waste and cardboard collection schedule during Memorial Day week. No collections will take place on Monday, May 25, with a make-up day scheduled for Thursday, May 28.
The city said these adjustments are necessary due to the Memorial Day holiday. Residents and businesses are advised to review the updated schedule to ensure their waste is collected without interruption.
According to the revised plan, Tuesday routes for both commercial and residential garbage collection, as well as cardboard collection, will proceed as usual on May 26. On Wednesday, May 27, commercial garbage and recycle collections along with cardboard pickup will occur as scheduled. Thursday’s route includes regular commercial garbage and cardboard collections in addition to serving as the make-up day for residential garbage missed on Monday.
Friday routes remain unchanged with regular commercial garbage and cardboard collections taking place on May 29.
Residents are encouraged to place their waste at the curb according to this adjusted timetable. The city has not provided additional background or context beyond these scheduling updates.
