The City of Brevard has announced changes to its solid waste and cardboard collection schedule in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There will be no collections on Monday, January 19, 2026. The make-up day for both commercial and residential garbage scheduled for that Monday will take place on Thursday, January 22.

On Tuesday, January 20, the regular Tuesday routes for commercial and residential garbage as well as cardboard collection will proceed as usual. Wednesday, January 21 will follow the standard schedule for commercial garbage, commercial recycling, and cardboard collection.

Thursday’s route on January 22 includes regular commercial garbage and cardboard collection in addition to the make-up collections for Monday’s missed services. Friday, January 23 will have its usual commercial garbage and cardboard collection.

Residents are encouraged to note these adjustments to ensure proper disposal during the holiday week.
