The City of Brevard released its vision statement on Apr. 27, describing the city’s aspirations as a safe and friendly community with a focus on family values, small town charm, outdoor recreation, arts, and culture.

The vision statement is intended to guide the city’s future development and priorities. It highlights key elements that city leaders believe are important for fostering investment opportunities, environmental awareness, and economic diversity.

According to the City Council’s Vision Statement from February 2012, “Brevard is a safe, friendly, family-oriented city with small town charm, outdoor recreation, arts, & culture that bring investment opportunities, environmental consciousness, and economic diversity.”

This statement reflects the council’s commitment to maintaining Brevard’s unique character while encouraging growth in areas such as business investment and cultural activities. The emphasis on environmental consciousness also signals an ongoing effort to balance development with sustainability.

As Brevard continues to grow and evolve, city officials are expected to use this vision as a framework for decision-making in areas ranging from urban planning to community programs.
