The City of Brevard announced on May 20 that it will hold an information and listening session about ongoing projects in the Rosenwald neighborhood. The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mary C. Jenkins Community & Cultural Center located at 221 Mills Avenue.
According to the announcement, city staff and elected officials will be present to discuss several key topics affecting the area. These include updates on the Mills Avenue culvert repair, progress on the Norton Creek Streambank restoration, and plans regarding the extension of the Estatoe Trail through the tannery site along with removal of a smokestack.
Other agenda items are alignment options for a future section of the Estatoe Trail connecting Main Street to Mary C. Jenkins as well as design considerations for a new picnic shelter at Silversteen Park.
The city encourages residents to attend in order to speak directly with officials about these projects and provide input on proposed improvements.
Officials say this session aims to keep community members informed about local developments while offering an opportunity for feedback before final decisions are made.
