On Friday, Feb. 28, former West Henderson High School standout Jackson Lyda’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, won 27-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Rider Broncs.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Broncs this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Rider Broncs.
