On Friday, March 28, former West Henderson High School standout Jackson Lyda’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 6-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Mercer Bears.

The game took place at OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field. This was their first matchup against the Bears this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field against Mercer Bears.
