Of the 1,927 people living in Valley Hill in 2019, 55.2 percent (1,064) were women and 44.8 percent (863) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Asheville News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 556-to-550. In the 65 and over age range, there were 457 females and 215 males.
