SoA 50 Lecture: K. Michael Hays, Harvard University on January 21, 2022

University of North Carolina Charlotte recently issued the following announcement.

K. Michael Hays is Eliot Noyes Professor of Architectural Theory at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. His research and scholarship have focused on the areas of European modernism and critical theory as well as on theoretical issues in contemporary architectural practice. Hays was the founder of the scholarly journal Assemblage, which was a leading forum of discussion of architectural theory in North America and Europe. In 2000, he was appointed the first Adjunct Curator of Architecture at the Whitney Museum of American Art, a position he held until 2009. His publications include "Modernism and the Posthumanist Subject, Architecture Theory since 1968," and "Architecture’s Desire."

The School of Architecture's 50th Anniversary Lecture Series celebrates the vision of the SoA during its 50-year history and into the future. Throughout the fall and spring semesters, renowned practitioners and scholars will explore historical developments in architecture since the School’s inception and examine current and future trends in the discipline as we consider the School's place in a continuously changing profession.
