Of the 7,319 people living in Mills River in 2020, 47.1 percent (3,450) were women and 52.9 percent (3,869) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Asheville News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 426. In the 65 and over age range, there were 984 females and 754 males.
