Of the 1,003 people living in Flat Rock in 2020, 60.2 percent (604) were women and 39.8 percent (399) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Asheville News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 128. In the 65 and over age range, there were 154 females and 73 males.
