U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards has announced the commencement of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for high school students residing in North Carolina’s 11th district. The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year.

"High school students in Western North Carolina are encouraged to showcase their talent, creativity, and passion by participating in the annual Congressional Art Competition," stated Edwards. "After seeing the incredible artwork from WNC’s artists during the previous competitions, I’m eager to see the art that this year’s contestants will create for all the visitors at our nation's Capitol to see."

Submissions must be received by April 18, 2025, at the Hendersonville district office. Students have multiple options for submission: delivering it directly to the Hendersonville office, mailing it there, or submitting through their school.

Following selection by a panel of judges, a “Facebook Favorite” competition will take place on Congressman Edwards' official Facebook page, @RepChuckEdwards. The public can vote for their favorite piece of art.

The winner of this online contest will have their artwork displayed in Edwards’ Washington D.C. office, while the runner-up's work will be showcased in his Hendersonville office.

Further information about competition requirements is available at edwards.house.gov/artcompetition or through contact with the Hendersonville district office at 828-435-7310.
