The Summit for Safely Aging-in-Place will be held on April 13 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Transylvania County Library Rogow Room, according to an announcement made on March 9.
The event aims to provide information and resources for community members interested in safely remaining in their homes as they age. It is open to the public and does not require registration.
Speakers at the summit will include Councilmember Lauren Wise, Sheila O’Connor, Jeff Parlier, and Yvette Brooks. Organizers say the event is free of charge.
The summit is designed to bring together local leaders and experts to discuss strategies and support systems that can help older adults maintain independence while ensuring safety at home.
By offering this program without cost or registration requirements, organizers hope to make it accessible to all residents who may benefit from learning more about aging-in-place options.
