Warnings and advisories are in place as wintry precipitation expected across the mountains and high elevation foothills of North Carolina tonight through Sunday evening. Here’s the range of possible snowfall amounts. Some sleet and freezing rain are also expected. Even a minor change in temperatures at the surface or aloft could cause a significant change in the expected precipitation type or accumulations.
