On Tuesday, April 8, former West Henderson High School standout Jackson Lyda’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

The game took place at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Mountaineers this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 6:15 p.m. at Thomas Baseball Stadium against East Tennessee State Buccaneers.
