For the second consecutive year, the Hendersonville Police Department invites the community to join them for National Night Out! This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 1300 7th Avenue East in the lot previously containing the former Four Seasons Cinemas building.
“Building community is what the Hendersonville Police Department is all about,” said Hendersonville Police Chief Blair Myhand. “National Night Out is a great way for our Officers and staff to get to know the community and serve up a great evening of fun for the whole family.”
Hendersonville’s free event will include emergency equipment displays from the Hendersonville Police Department and Hendersonville Fire Department in combination with trucks from Hendersonville Public Works and Water & Sewer departments. In addition to free hot dogs and cold treats, activities will include a kids obstacle course, music, foam axe throwing, dunk tank, face painting, and the return of last year’s popular Ellaberry Farm llamas. New this year will be a donut eating contest where participants can go head-to-head with a local HPD police officer.
National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships.
