U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) has been appointed to the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee on the House Appropriations Committee by Chairman Tom Cole (OK-04). This additional appointment comes in addition to the subcommittees Edwards already sits on, which include Financial Services and General Government, Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies, and Labor, Health and Human Services, Education.

"We are living during a time when our national and global security are being threatened from many sides, and time is of the essence in making strategic decisions that will affect the course of world history. My recent trip to Ukraine made it clearer than ever that if America wants to remain a world leader, we need to act like one," said Edwards. "I’m honored to be entrusted to a position on the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee during such a critical juncture, and I look forward to making sure that the United States remains the leader of the free world because Americans and the rest of the freedom-loving nations are counting on us."

Chairman Cole praised Edwards' dedication, stating, “Since Chuck has been serving in the House, he has proven to all what a workhorse he is for the betterment of our country and the good of his constituents.
