In 1971 while visiting Hendersonville as a 17 year old foreign exchange student Ole Tlars Wallin had the pleasure of meeting with former Sheriff Albert Jackson who declared him an honorary member of the Sheriff's Office on June 18, 1971...
After 51 years he was able to return and meet with Sheriff Griffin.
