St. Patrick's Day week began March 13, and law enforcement agencies across the state have begun their “Booze It & Lose It” campaigns. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office plans to have increased patrols for the St. Patrick's Day weekend.
“Don’t drink and drive,” Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office DWI Task Force Sgt. Victor Morman said. Those who intend to drink should plan ahead -- have a designated driver or plan to call a friend, Uber, or Lyft.
"Enjoy yourself,” Morman said. “We ask if you’re going to drink, drink responsibly.”
