Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) has announced that his mobile office, known as the "Carolina Cruiser," has been incredibly active in serving the constituents of Western North Carolina. In its first year of operation, the Carolina Cruiser has traveled over 13,000 miles and made more than 250 stops throughout the region.

The Carolina Cruiser is the only mobile office of its kind in Congress. Its purpose is to bring the federal government closer to the people, ensuring accessibility, transparency, and accountability to constituents. This van allows Congressman Edwards and his staff to hold mobile office hours in various locations across Western North Carolina, providing assistance with federal agencies and listening to the concerns of the people.

In 2023, Congressman Edwards and his team successfully closed over 1,700 constituent cases, fulfilled 403 passport requests, addressed more than 240 individual Social Security issues, and completed 52 military records requests for veterans. This impressive record demonstrates their commitment to serving the needs of the people.

The best way to do that was to make sure we were accessible to constituents all over WNC. The Carolina Cruiser has made that possible," said Congressman Edwards.
