AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC, is offering a holiday cooking and nutrition class focused on the Mediterranean diet. The initiative is part of AdventHealth's commitment to whole-person care, encompassing body, mind, and spirit. The classes aim to empower individuals with nutritional education to promote health and wellness.

The class will delve into the benefits of adopting a Mediterranean diet, which has been associated with reduced risks of chronic diseases such as certain cancers, Alzheimer's disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease. Participants will learn how to integrate this dietary approach into daily life through simple recipes. A cooking demonstration and taste test are also included.

The final session of the series is scheduled for December 18 at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at Laurel Park. Attendees will discover healthy holiday snacks suitable for sharing with friends and family during the festive season. These sessions are complimentary; however, registration is required.
